The Specs
The next day Piggy and Ralph got in another fight. Piggy was trying to convince to Ralph that what happened to Simon last night was just an accident, but Ralph continues to believe that all the barmy boys on the island committed murder by killing Simon. Ralph has been continuously haunted by the idea to him committing murder and can’t even sleep without getting horrible nightmares and talking and moaning in his sleep. SamnEric said that they left early from the bonfire, denying that they did not take part in the murder when really they did
I love having power. Power is a great feeling, of having everything the way you want it. Having everyone act and behave the way you want them to, and having complete control. Castle Rock has finally fallen under my leadership. Already I have tied up a boy named Wilfred and I have also planned on going on another hunting trip with Maurice and Roger. My entire tribe opinion on killing Simon is that we think that it wasn’t Simon and that is was the beast in disguise. The island already seems more purged now that whoever we killed last night is gone. My thoughts on the beast seemed more like an illumination then a simple discussion. My tribe is now ready to attack anytime if the beast was to come.
My tribe and I thought it would be nice to have a fire, but instead of using the others groups fire, we decided we wanted one of our own. Out act seemed like it was fairly theological rather than sin. We were going to go to Ralph’s camp and take Piggy’s glassed so we could start a fire near Castle Rock.
The minute we invaded their territory, the fight broke out. In the huts, Maurice, Roger and I took the three main boys, Ralph, Piggy and Eric because Sam was caught up in a fight against himself. We kicked and pushed them so we could gain control over Piggy’s specs and the ability to start our own fire. The specs were now ours!
